Temporary Internet Files Folder?

Pardon my ignorance, but when internet browsing with Windows it uses the "Temporary Internet files folder". What does Mac use??

There is no temporary internet files folder on your Mac. Your internet browser uses a cache which is more efficient and faster.

OK, thank's for that! Learning all the time with this Mac!!

One other thing that bugs me a bit is that I can't get the Mac to "auto fill" my email address every time I come to use it. IT tries to auto fill my names, which I don't want but I can't find where to turn these on and off. The "Preferences ", "auto fill" tabs don't have this facility - do they???

There's more than one browser available for OS X.

You can follow the instructions here to clean out the cache specifically or you can stick with the simple option: Safari > Reset Safari...
