I want to configure my ethernet configuration manually and the info provided by internet service provider as IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, preferred DNS server, Alternate DNS server. How to fill up configuration..are these info sufficient for configuration.

Ethernet should be configured for a local network (behind a router)

Your settings from the ISP should be entered into the router, you cannot establish an internet connection without a modem or router
