Hey so i get my ibook tomorrow and im excited, but i was wondering if we needed to have a wireless router or anything to get on the net, or will it just find a wireless network around and kinda use that one. Ok cool, thanks!

You need to have a Wireless Access point to connect to. If there is an open network around you, you should be able to connect to it, but don't rely on the kindness of others to get you online. Get highspeeed Cable/DSL and get a wireless router.

What area are you from/in? Any wirless router will work...as long as its a "B" Band or "G" Band router. Some Cable/DSL modems have Wireless built in... ie Motorola Waveboard with built in 802.11G band.

Sometimes you may search and get other peoples unsecured networks .... i have a few where i live that messes me up when i connect to mine some times.

Congrats on the new ibook
