Screen Share on another network

My friend just got a mac and is having trouble getting used to everything. I was using the screen share on iChat but she doesn't like going on her old screen name from a while back for personal reasons.
anyways, I'm wondering if there's a way (other than iChat) I could remotely control her screen from my computer from my home network to her home network.
any advice will help
