Since three hours ago, I am having an issue where upon clicking different links to downloads and such, I am redirected to the "MacKeeper" website, where I am given two options: download the [probably] bogus software or close the page and forget about clicking said link again to actually go where I'm thinking I will.

This has happened on Firefox and Chrome..

Basically, this is annoying. I rely on reliable downloads and sources to engage in my visual art and and audio work, and this is hindering me. I have researched and I did not find any instructions that did not look like spanish to me (and I am no dummy with macs or PCs, having fixed most issues myself), or lead me nowhere. Is this a known issue, and what do I do about it?

Avoid MacKeeper like the very plague.

Use AdBlockerPlus

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
