Windows 7 and Mac Network

I am new to macs and when i bought this mac, i managed to get full access networking from my windows 7 to mac and vice versa. I re-installed the os and now i get nothing from either. I can see the mac on my windows 7, but when i go to access it, i get a denied prompt... How do i set it up? Cheers Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum
