Hey everyone, i've started running into a problem thats driving me crazy! Randomly my MBP will stop connecting to my universities Wifi network, it shows it is still connected but webpages will not load. I have to turn off and turn back on the wifi in order for it to start working again...for a minute or so and then it starts acting up again. I have noticed that it doesn't happen everywhere but only in a few specific spots.

I'm 99% i will end up contacting the IT department because it seems pretty obvious that it is a problem with their wifi network but has someone else run into this situation before so when i contact them i have additional information and something other to say than "my wifi's not working".

cheers

So i contacted the IT department at my university and they say the trouble is with the Lion operating system connecting to "N" wireless networks. Has anyone else noticed this problem? To me this seems pretty major if the problem is widespread, but i haven't really heard much regarding this issue so maybe it's somehow localized to the universities wifi network.

Anyways, i guess i will be tethering off my iphone in the problematic classrooms until apple comes out with a patch...
QUOTE Thanks
