This is my speed running off the ethernet from the same server:

I always thought that wireless gave you slower results? My tests have come out about even for both of them, with little fluctuation between them both. Does this have something to do with my Belkin N600DB router?

Nope. WiFi really has a negligible impact on speed.

Here's my latest on WiFi:

Just upgraded my service yesterday - for $8/mth less than I had been paying for 20/1.

FiOS still doesn't fail to disappoint. They just wipe the floor with Comcast, and this is a "mid-grade" 25Mb tier....

And this is as-tested from WiFi.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

I've just set up my new AirPort Extreme Base Station. Here are my Wi-Fi speeds on my late 2009 MacBook Pro. I'm on a 64Mb cable connection.

Needless to say, I'm very impressed as I didn't even get half of that with my old wireless router

Sucks since I am paying for 20mbps DSL. I have been thinking of dropping the DSL for a cable internet setup.

Recently moved and Happy 4mb up more than last residence **edit : actually 10up more than the top of the page test. That was from a prepaid wireless dongle though.

“I have absolutely no pleasure in the stimulants in which I sometimes so madly indulge. It has not been in the pursuit of pleasure that I have periled life and reputation and reason. It has been the desperate attempt to escape from torturing memories, from a sense of insupportable loneliness and a dread of some strange impending doom ….”― Edgar Allan Poe

I get 18ms Ping, 15.5mbps Download, and 2mbps upload, with Cablevision in NYC. Not too bad. I have 4 macs and 2 pc's, an iPod touch, and 2 Netflix TVs that run off it without issue although never simultaneously. I've also streamed hi-res audio 24/96x2 over the wifi internally and nobody noticed any slowdown while going out over the net. I haven't tried hi-def 1080p video streaming yet to see what impact that would have.

My corporate shows 0ms Ping, 96mbps down and 24mbps up, but that's to an internal server it appears.

Not half bad...

Wish upload was higher though, videos and HD images are a pain.

I pay for a 20Mb connection, so pretty good considering - and it's a Friday night!

I just can't get enough of that Apple loveliness! Piled up they are, piled up around the house - like acrylic and aluminium testaments to Apple's genius. And they all work perfectly, obviously.
