I'm new to Airport Extreme - simple to set up - good to go!

1 - But how far does this wireless signal reach?

Can other people outside my house, walking by, access my network signal?

2 - Also, how do I make sure that if other people (teenagers) come over, they cannot access my network....password?

Thank you in advance!

Almost most definitely folks outside your home can "see" your signal. That's why you password protect your wireless network.

165 ft without obstructions and you have the option of not broadcasting your SSID or you could and I would still use WPA2 no password no access.

30-50m and as osxx suggests set up WPA2 Personal with at least a strong thirteen numeric/alphabetical password.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
