Hey guys, quick question. For some reason I can't get my airport to connect on my MacBook Pro (10.6.4). I have it set "Using DHCP" so it should automatically obtain an IP but one wont show up. And, the 2 DNS servers that were there have disappeared along with the Search Domain but even after I put them back in it still will not obtain and IP. Also, when i connect a network cord, the airport gets and IP and starts working, but stops right when the cord is removed. Help!
QUOTE Thanks

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Sounds like the router is on the blink. Had identical problems with a Netgear DGN2000 'N: router. Is the Network Name appearing on both the Airport opening page and under Advanced > Airport? Try double clicking the latter and see if you are asked for your password.

Your ISP will be able to supply you with DNS server details.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Thanks. Yes, the Network Name is in both those places with the saved password. And, on multiple other laptops (same) they are able to connect to the router with all the information there. The router is a cisco aironet 3500 series access point but it seems to be working because of the other laptops connected to it.
