Airport looking for network every 5-10 seconds

I have a macbookpro and it contects to my wireless network, but it continually says "looking for network", every 5-10 seconds. This interrupts my download stream especially on videos. I have 5 bars always for reception. Any way to get it to stop looking for networks?
