Hi!
I need to access my SMC wireless modem configuration in order to get the modem's MAC address to be able to use the router with my service provider (They require that information) but I don't seem to be able to access it.
I read everywhere that I'm supposed to "disable the proxy connection" but I don't seem to be able to do so on Chrome (And IE, Safari and Firefox didn't work either).
So when I type "http://192.168.2.1." I get the error message: "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 192.168.2.1"
Any help? Or any other way to get the MAC address of my router?
Thanks!

192.168.2.1 is usually for the modem.
Try 192.168.1.1

USAF E-2. 1C6X1 - Space Systems Operations. 19 days until BMT.
Upgrade your MBP HD

Your modem's MAC address should actually be stamped (physically) on the modem itself, typically on a barcoded tag. It's a 12 digit, alphanumeric address - usually clearly labeled. So, before you get too crazy trying to find its configuration webpage, have a close look at the modem itself.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

I looked for it to be written on the modem, but found nothing and that's why I ended up this way...
192.168.1.1 doesn't work either

What model is the modem?

When I go to "network" I get a different setting...When I choose "Airport" I can then choose a connection and go into the advanced options, where I get an Airport ID number but no MAC number
