new mac mini home network

cryteria:
medium 1000T speeds, low power, mail service, vpn, music server

Drobo 5bay FS + WD 5400rpm 2Tdrives
//not the fastest nas box but has 7.5T raid5

BroadBand FireWall/ Router Buffalo wzr-hp-g300nh + dd_wrt firmware
//just got it in, intend to disable the rf and use the mini built in airport

still need to buy:
mac mini snow leopard server box and
8gig memory
inexpensive newegg led monitor 20"
keyboard, air superdrive
3rd party mail server software
backup application, SuperDuper but would like a nas based app
music server???
anything else good?

Do you mean you want your Mac Mini to serve as the WiFi access point? I would advise against this as it would be an adhoc network and only WEP protected.
