I have only been a Mac user for 17 months and i love my new 13" MBP and the way the OS just works. Now i was reading a post yesterday and saw someone mention Airport Express and iTunes with Airtunes. I was impressed as i was looking for a easy way of playing my music and with the less cords the better.

I just bought Airport Express and some nice little powered speakers and 'viola' once i had set it all up it works brilliantly. Apple really does no what they are doing dont they. They have a way of making peoples lives more at ease and enjoyable.
I have to admit im actually blown away that there was such a easy solution to my dilemma and it was in the same stable as im in now so i didnt really have to look far.
I am disappointed that the post i read and the poster of the Airport Express statement, i cant get back too and give some rep.
I really need to look more at  hardware and to see what it all does, because im IMPRESSED ...........

I can now sit on the loo and listen to music coming from another room in the house and with my iPod Touch, that im playing games on can be used as a remote as well. Now i only have to wait until the iPhone 4 hits Australia so i can purchase it, and then ill have multi tasking, so that game i was playing i still can, once i skip over Beyonce (the missus like her).

Bring it on  i cant wait to see what else you have in store for us in the future

Does anyone else have any stories or something else they would like to recommend ?? And why ??
Thanks for reading the babble but now i have wireless music thanks to my 

Cheers

My only issue with the Airport Express was that audio is only for iTunes I do like to browse youtube alot and wished that I could have it working for that. But you never know, in the future.

Apple are awesome

Airfoil - from Rouge Amoeba allows you to stream anything from your computer to an Airport Express. Well worth the money - they even have family packs if you have more than one computer.
Rogue Amoeba | Airfoil | Select Your Operating System
Their trial is slick - but annoying. It is fully functional but after 10 minutes of streaming Airfoil adds noise to the stream.

Plus if you want to stream to another computer (like a media center pc or your ipod touch) they have airfoil speakers. I'm not convinced about the touch - but I use this all the time to stream to my home media center.
Rogue Amoeba | Airfoil Speakers

Really helped out with that Napster subscription - as I can now stream just about any song from Napster to any speaker in my house.

Yea thanks for that Ivan, ill check that link out, but 1st i have to try find a solution to my flashing amber light problem.
I got it all up and going and i was stoked that i had my own little wireless network, and my music was playing fine.
I went to the pub for a counter meal got home and my light is flashing amber and iTunes finds it hard to keep a connection.

I have reset the airport express, check my configuration (it was working so everything is ok), Trashed the Airport Utility reinstalled it reset the Airport Express, checked configuration and reset airport express. . . . .

There seems to have been a problem back when iTunes went from 8.x to 9 and there seemed to be a fix in updates but im still at wits end to see where im straying off course

Anyone any ideas or know of the problem ??

Cheers

I have an Airport Express in my living room hooked to my surround sound and it also acts as a wireless network adapter for my DirecTV reciever (PPV, onDemand programming) Works excellent. Im purchashing another Airport Express for my upstairs radio or might just get a Time Capsule to replace the express downstairs and move the express upstairs. Decisions decisions.

(i know the time capsule does not have iTunes streaming capability)

I'd check to see what other wireless networks were around, and what channel they're using, then change the channel of your own to at least two channels away if possible. Sounds like interference.
