i have a Netgear WNR2000v2 router and a macbook and a atv nether want to connect or stay connected to the router and its driving me nuts. i have taken the mac book back to apple three times and of course it connects and stay on for the 3 or so minutes it take the "Genius" to prove me wrong that there is no fault with he airport card on the mac book and i have followed the instructions to eliminate all other sources of wireless interference door bells, wireless phones ect.

indecently the imac, a old laptop and my mates macbook pro and ipad and 2 iphones stay on fine.

i had an airport extreme router and the mac book wouldn't connect to that ether and then knocked the atv off when i first time i went to connect it

this is driving me nuts to the point that im installing cat 5e every where but defeats the object of having a "portable computer" has any one got any help.

From your post I don't get wether you can connect to the wifi at all or if you keep getting disconnected often.

Any security on the router?

well a bit of both when starting up from sleeping or when being switched on it scans for the network asks for a password and then times out faster than i can blink. after i have tried to connect 20 times or so i give up and make a cup of tea. after a few hours i will notice that its still sitting there and it's on the network so i will do a bit of surfing put the book down go make another cup of tea come back to find the book has gone back to sleep open it up and the damm thing wont connect to the network and yes there is security wap-2 in fact.
