using internet on laptop abroad

hi,
i want to take my laptop abroad to israel , my black macbook and i'm not gonna be staying in a hotel , will be in a house which doesnt have intenet , i heard theres something i can buy for internet to work ? i've seen people on the plane when ive gone on holiday before with internet on their laptops
please help

also have airport enabled, should i leave it on when i go away and what exactly is it?

I'm sure you'll be able to use wireless internet in Israel, however, you may have to pay unless it's given free like at a Starbucks or McDonalds. If the home you're going to stay at has no internet access, the only way to get on the net would be through wireless.

When you get there you'll find all the information you require for wireless access. Just ask. Make sure you take everything along with you that you'll need for your MacBook. Original install disks, etc.

hmm, so would be pretty tricky? if i put the white usb in that i connect to wireless networks on my pc, would it work there and pick something up?
