I have a Canon Multi Function Pixma MP630 (duplex printer) on a home wireless network consisting of a new iMac & MacBook using a brand new Airport Express. Everything works fine except the scanning.
I have had help from both Canon and Apple and both say it should work but neither can show me how. Canon say it is a common problem with some of their Multi Function scanners and is looking into it further but there are no guarantees. I would like to know if there are other users who are able to scan wirelessly from their Multi Function printers on an Airport Express network. MichaelQ |

Apparently the MP630 will scan on Windows networks. |

I have used a Pixma 980 and 990 on our wireless network and have had scanning working. Unfortunately I can't say exactly what got things working. I installed and re-installed the drivers several times before i got it working.
I think I ended up using drivers that were on the Canon site. I used the 980 and 990s built in wireless networking. If I pugged the 980 or 990 directly into the Time Capsule's USB port. Printing worked but you lost the ability to check ink levels etc. I spent quite a bit of time working o is before getting it working. One of the annoying things I found was the need to install the driver with the printer/scanner attached via USB.
