Hi,

I have airport express which provides the whole house with wireless internet access with a usb printer connected to it that we can happily print to via wireless from our 2 macbooks.

Now i have a windows xp machine with a wireless card that can access the internet via my airport express, i also have a laptop windows 7 that can also can access the internet via my airport express.

Now neither of these window devices cannot connect or even see my printer, any one got any ideas please, as its driving me nuts.

Cheers

You need to install the printer on the windows machines.

Download the latest package from the printer manufacturers site and follow the directions for installing.

Here's a walkthrough I found for XP.

Printing from a Windows XP PC to a printer attached to an Airport Extreme Base Station or Airport Express

2nd half of this article lists a couple of ways to do it.

AirPort: How to mount an AirPort Extreme USB hard disk volume in Mac OS X and Windows

Sorry, don't have an express and I use a D-Link rather than my Extreme for all of these duties.

Unfortunately a hard drive isn't really supported for use with Airport Expresses
Uses for the USB port of Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express
Many people haven't gotten it to work with Macs or PCs so I would say you are lucky to get it to work with the Macs.
