(might be a dumb questions but here it goes...)
When using Apple TV, where does it get it's wireless signal from, the router? my computer? or both?

My computer is a G4 FW800 desktop with built-in AEC (802.11g)
My wireless router is an Airport Extreme base station (802.11n)

I assume HD content, movies etc. goes from the base station directly to Apple TV. but what about the stuff in my iTunes and iPhoto (inside my computer)?? Does Apple TV get it directly from my G4's wireless card or does it have to link thru he base station?? lol
QUOTE Thanks

Welcome to the Forum. The data is stored on your computer and Apple TV connects to your wireless network and uses videos stored in iTunes and pics in iPhoto. Works on Snow Leopard and i assume Leopard but not sure about Tiger. Turn off your base station and u lose the ability to play but will operate with computer asleep with Show Leopard.

It will use both your computer and base station since your computer does not have to be
on unless you are using shared content.
