Is anyone able to step me through in 'non-geek' speak connecting a G4 iBook to a Windows 2004 Server?

I am a teacher in a school in Australia where lots of staff members wish to upgrade their Educ. Dept. leased IBM's to iBooks but none of the Tech Staff are willing [or able] to do it. I'm treating it as my little crusade. I would really like to be able to spread the 'Mac word' by solving this issue.

Appreciate ANY help.
QUOTE Thanks
