PLEASE HELP!!! Internet is running seriously slow - PC running fast - Why???

Hi all,

Firstly can i say i am new to mac and not techie at all so lay mans terms would be much appreciated.

Basically i have a brand new macbook and my wireless internet is running seriously slow. my housemate wireless runs perfectly on his 2-3 yr old macbook, no issues on the same wireless connection. no idea why this is and its driving me crazy!

any suggestions pleasE?

thank you in advance for you help - losing my patience and i love mac for everything else!

Hi there,

I found this by googling the keywords "troubleshooting airport".

Failing that, you could always give Apple UK a call on 0800 048 0408 (option 2 for technical).

I hope this is of some use to you.

Perhaps as first step connect it by ethernet cable to the router/modem and then check speeds - if it is faster then you know where to look - the wireless settings on the MB.
