New To Mac-Forums?

Is this possible?

I'm assuming that there'd be some software required to do this, but what I want to be able to do is control my macbook pro from the other side of the room, wirelessly, using my older 13" macbook. There is also no internet connection where I want to do this.

I wondered if anyone knew if/how it could be done using airport/networks?

Visit System Preferences and look in Sharing. Turn on Screen Sharing in the one you want to control, then you can connect from the other one!

I assume I have to create a network first - does it matter which macbook I create the network on?

Ah... yes. They will need to know that each other are there for this to work

you would have to use bluetooth or infrared, if this is even possible, you wont be able to communicate via airport;
i guess you could make an ad hoc network, with either the ethernet, bluetooth, or infrared;

You can create an ad hoc network with WiFi, too.
