Anyone want to help me figure out why?

Internet works fine when going directly from cable modem to iMac. Airport Extreme base station won't connect to the internet wirelessly or through ethernet. Flashing amber light...

Flashing amber means there is somthing that needs your attention.

Did it ever work before?

Are you able to get to the configuration page in Airport Utility?
Did you run the configuration?
Should be setup to create a wireless network.

I've had it for a few years and it has worked flawlessly. It just quit unexpectedly last week.

I can access Airport Utility just fine.

It says "Your Apple wireless device doesn't have a valid IP address."

I managed to get the green light back. I can connect to my home network, but still no internet wireless or ethernet.
