Using XP printer from Mac OS X

I have an HP 722C via parallel cable printing through an XP SP3.
I could not print from my Vista or my Mac through the XP. Just found a new set of drivers that were just compiled in the last few weeks to solve a networking problem that stopped the Vista.
Question: Does this networking problem through the XP also apply to the Mac? I have tried renaming, remapping, browsing and installing the 722C several times from the Mac, but cannot get it to communicate with the HP.
I have great connections among all three machines. They all communicate with each other.

Is there a driver in OSX for the 722c?
Not sure if this will help, but give it a read. It's an Apple discussion on getting your printer printing in OSX. Hope it solves the network printing part also.
