Slow Ethernet.

Hey everyone

I am writhing for one of my friends.
She has a Macbook and used to be on the Internet every day.
Well... She got this new "fibre net" and suddenly her ethernet was very very slow.
We tried to call those who deliver her ethernet and they said it was the driver.
Well we cant find any driver for this and now we dont know what to do.

just to clarify, she was plugged in the wall via ethernet cable to get internet. She got a new service called "fibre net"?

Nope she is wireless and have always been, my fault for writing ethernet, sorry.
Well the problem is that her internet is REALLY slow, but on her brothers PC it works all fine.

quick important question: Is it a weak signal or slow to look up pages? Does her browsing get faster if she is plugged in with ethernet?

Yes it does. thats the weird part. its not cause her internet is slow, its only slow on her mac.

First, type in the numbers from the first post of this thread and see if that helps. If so, move on below:

Mac wireless internet issues

follow this thread and change your DNS servers to use the OpenDNS ones before the ones used by your ISP.
