I have found the issue of not remembering a password typically has to do with the Keychain.
What I do, is delete that network in the Advanced pane of Network System Preferences. Also put a check in 'Remember networks...." if it is not checked. Then open up Keychain Access and delete it from there - highlight Logins on the left side - also look to see if there is more than one listed here. Then do a fresh setup of this network. This has worked repeatedly for me.
Here is a workaround if Keychain is still not remembering it correctly. - linkI cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
