Hey,
I was messing around with the wifi "finding" tool, called KisMAC. I used it for a couple days... got bored of it, deleted it, and apparently deleted my Airport too.... Any help on getting it to work again... Note: It says " No Airport card found " Macbook 2.13 GHz- 160GB Hard Drive- 2GB memory - Snow Leopard] Droid X HP Pavillion Elite - 2.80 GHz - 1.5TB Hard Drive - 8GB memory - Windows 7 (Let me know if it's combatible with Hackintosh )

I have not worked with KisMac in a long time but remember a few things. I was messing with it to show people just how easily WEP Encryption could be hacked.
In one mode it takes over the Airport card completely. If you just threw it in the trash without changing those settings it would end up like your system is now and find no Airport Card. I will do some research and get back to you, but what I would try is reinstall KisMac and turn off that one mode it puts it in. Sorry I can not remember the exact name, but that will give the Airport card back to the iBook. I used it on my iBook also. Let me know if you figure it out before I post back with more info. Edit: Found one person that uninstalled KisMac and downloaded the Airport Software for their version of OSX and installed that and all was back to normal. I was always able to solve it by un-checking some setting in KisMac before I stopped it and uninstalled it. Last edited by dtravis7; 01-04-2010 at 09:01 PM. |

Did you reboot OSX by any chance?
Found this. Read under "What happened to my AirPort card after running KisMAC?" It's toward the bottom. http://trac.kismac-ng.org/wiki/FAQ#W...rrunningKisMAC Last edited by dtravis7; 01-04-2010 at 09:19 PM. |
