ftp question

I've not used ftp before and I need someone to send me a lot of photos, is there a goo simple, free ftp program that i can download and is reliable and will take large quantaties of photos also how does it work and how do i set up an account/address for someone to send me the photos. Appologies if this the wrong place to post.

Just downloaded cyberduck, and i have a mobile me account so i put that in and it seemed to connect. What details do i need to give the person sending the photos. Thanks, Roo

he needs the IP adress, (same u used)
username, and password.
and a place to put it in off course
