My friend is in Spain, and her airport keeps timing out when trying to connect to the wireless network setup in her apartment. She is using a macbook, and the router is a Xavi 7868r powered by telefonica adsl. Any tips?

I'm also in Spain and can't get my backbook pro onto this same model router via wifi.

I also live in Spain ( Granada) and can't get my MackBook Pro onto the Xavi 7868r by Telefonica. My airport keeps saying "time expired" when trying to connect to the wireless network. I am conected to internet by cable, but veeeery slow..
There is no help calling the Telefonica tecnical service; they keep telling me the problem is my Mac, not the router, and that I better change my Mac into a PC with Windows.. (never! )
Can anybody help me, or give me an adwise?
Better change the router? Or quit Telefonica and go to another company; Orange or Jazztel?
