    LAN/Ethernet to wireless??
I connect to the internet at work through a wired ethernet connection in my office which means i can only use my laptop at the desk. Would it be possible just to plug the ethernet cable into a router and then i could receive the signal wirelessly on my laptop and move around or is there another way round this??

    Thanks.....

Technically possible? Yes. Advisable without professional assistance? No.

Essentially adding a wireless access point opens up your network to other, potentially unauthorized parties getting in. I would check with your IT department before you go any further.
Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
