Hi I bought a Macbook Pro a while ago and have had constant problems with the wirless connection.

I have a netgear dg834gt wirless router which I was told would work fine with the mac.
Is this correct?

The mac runs very slow online and my other pc's have problems getting a ip address ever since the mac was used wireless.

Any help appreciated
QUOTE Thanks

sorry no one has helped yet, let me give it a try. i would recommend reseting the router back to defaults. and configure it from the start. if that does not work i would recommend replacing it. i hate netgear wireless routers and adapters they never work right. i would recommend airport express or if on a budget, the older style linksys routers(not the black ones without ant. that look like a spaceship)(the blue one) or i have a dlink wireless n ($60) and it works great with my macbook and all the pc's in my house with no problems, it is a dir-615.

The netgear router has worked fine up until I bought the macbook.

Here is what I have connected to the router:

1. Desktop pc xp (wired)
2. Laptop xp (wireless)
3. Playstation 3 (wireless)
4. Playstation 3 (wireless) DMZ
5. And the macbook (wireless)

All devices have there own IP address.

I was thinking about starting from scratch with the router by restoring to factory settings and setting everything up again.

Thanks for the help at last.
