transfering info from windows to mac

new macbook pro is offline
I just bought the new macbook pro and I am having trouble figuring out how to transfer music, docs, etc from my windows PC to my mac. Could someone please give me step-by-step instructions on how to do this? Thanks

check out ur utilities folder and look for the migration assistant.

or u can do it the long way, save everything to an external hardrive and move it over yourself.

my migration assistant only has the option from old mac to new, new mac to old, or from external hardrive. The option for PC to mac isnt there : /

ok, this is how i did it when i got my macbook.

i saved everything on my pc that i wanted moved over onto a hardrive, and then i moved it over and just moved my files onto the computer.
its really quite easy, but migration assistant makes it easier.
