Hey,

I just bought a new Buffalo LinkStation that is connected to my router and part of my wireless network. When I open up the Time Machine to set up my backup, Time Machine tries to search for "Apple Products" and will not allow me to select another external drive to use.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks a bunch!

NOTE: Thread moved to appropriate forum. Not just anything goes in Anything Goes

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

You need to do some tweaking to your Mac to get it to use the Linkstation as a time machine destination. This link should be helpful
