hello, can anyone offer me some steps to setting this up. I've got a laptop and desktop that I'd like to hook up together so that I can transfer files quickly over the interent. I've done it before and it wasn't too hard; but can't remember how it was done.
maybe a little help or tutorial.....thanks so much,
Matt

- Airport symbol in the menu bar: create network
- Have the other mac join that network
- Open a finder window > sidebar > shared

I don't have an airport card/airport in one of my computers though...it's an older g4 desktop. I just picked up a netgear USB wireless finder plug-in to hook it into the net.
