    Time capsule
    Does anybody know if you can use time capsule as an external hard drive instead of a backup using time machine.

    yes, i tried it out in the apple store. If you have Tiger or Panther still, you can access it as a shared drive.

    when/if the price drops ill pick one up.

    Yes you can. It appears in your Finder as an external drive.
