Airport Extreme cards dummied down?

Member Since: Jul 30, 2008 Posts: 41 Mac Specs: Macbook Pro 2.0 I7, Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz 15, Macbook 2.16Ghz, Imac 3.2GHz 21.5, Macbook Pro 13 2.23Ghz	01-19-2009, 03:05 PM I was looking into why my Airport Extreme cards were only connecting to a N only 40Mhz band wireless network at 130Mbps and got this for an answer. Apple has disabled 40 MHz channel width in the 2.4GHz band to prevent interference with legacy 11b/g WLANs. Is anyone aware of a way to get the 40Mhz band enabled?
