Hi everyone! New to the community . . . would love some help.
I own: late-2006 MBP DLink DIR-615 router Have got broadband at my apartment, using PPPoE. Everything pre-router worked fine, and even after I linked the connection through my router it was ok. But the problems started when I tried to set up the wireless. I'm using WPA2 for my wireless security. My iPhone is working great with the network. On my MBP, I can join the network and it shows I have a really strong signal. However, I've found that to be completely misleading as any attempt to go online has been epic fail. (note: there was a brief moment when I did manage to get the MBP working on the network, but it was so slow that surfing on my iPhone was significantly faster . . . and for some reason, my router was in a horrid cycle of 10-minutes working, 10-minutes no signal) Would greatly appreciate if anyone has any idea what's going on and maybe have a solution for me? Thanks so much! |
