I am running an airport express to broadcast music to my stereo from my powerbook pro laptop. The signal keeps stalling and stopping the music. The time bar on itunes stops while the signal is interrupted. Can anyone tell me if there is a cpu/memory issue with my computer or if it is a wireless problem between either my computer/airport or the internet connection itself. It is really ruining my groove.

Two thoughts come to mind. The APX is probably losing connection with the laptop. The other thought is the Powerbook probably has a 802.11B or G card. With either, it might be simply too slow for streaming audio.

I am running a G4 PowerBook with 10.4. The light on AXP never changes from green when the music drops out. Does that mean that the signal is not being lost and the problem is instead a memory or card/streaming issue with the laptop? It seems to work sometime and then others is just drops out constantly. If I use the single speaker setting the timeline in itunes stops when the music drops. If I use multiple speakers including the computer, when it drops the computer keeps playing and the timeline doesn't stop. Does this help at all in diagnosing the problem? Please help. Thanks!
