My moms having an issue with her iMac (her MBP works fine). Whenever she logs in she has to go in and reset all the wireless settings. I've had her ditch the /Library/Preferences and reboot but that did not resolve it. I don't have immediate access to the machine, so I'm looking for a place to start.

Wireless Networking FAQ

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

I would say yes. But it's not the wireless setup that's not working. The system isn't KEEPING the settings. So the FAQ does not apply.

Identical settings, wireless too, on the macbook pro work and hold.
