the Mighty Mouse only works with OS X. it has the system requirements right on the box:

Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later
Existing keyboard and mouse for setup

You can use the bluetooth mouse with XP/BC, just choose not to use a passkey. It's a bit inconvenient as sometimes Windows recognizes the mouse on a restart but usually not.
