its been long since i've been here. But its a place to go when u are in need of some help.
My issue is, Can i enable AirPort Extreme 802.11N enabler. I have a Macbook Pro 17" intel core duo(not core 2 duo). And my Wireless Card type is AirPort Extreme (0x168C, 0x86). And in the Applications/Utility/Network Utility pane it shows that my Wireless Network Adaptor Model is 802.11 a, b, g. And for the info sake i am using AirPort Extreme Base station.
Taking these info into consideration can anyone Pl! tell me, can i enable 802.11N
Thanking you all in advance

The CoreDuo models do not have a latent 802.11n card, only the Core2Duo Macs had the dormant N card which could be switched on with the enabler. Running the enabler on a CoreDuo machine would have no effect.

Is there any other way that i can use the 802.11N for a fast wireless lan.
What about changing the whole card into a new.

I think you have to get a usb dongle add on to get wireless N on your macbook

QuickerTek has an internal replacement card, but it requires opening your computer. The other option would be to buy an external USB wireless card.Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
