Have WEP enabled on Linksys Router. Entered wireless key in MACBOOK, upon reboot or restart, MACBOOK (Leopard 10.5.2) asked for password again.

Is there a way to store this without entering it?

I saw a keychain app somewhere (am a newbie helping my girlfriends child with cancer), that might help but have not clicked on it yet (I am a Windows guy).

remember network? go in pref pane, and networking. should be in there as well under airport. the first pic will come up when you click in the menubar, on the wifi link, and on your network. the rest of the pictures are if you tackle it via system pref. rep me








as long as remember network is selected, you should be set.

Thank you. However, there was no option to remember password. (cannot use anything else in this house other than WEP due to conflict with another machine that ONLY uses WEP).

There was an option for automatic detection of networks-that is selected in drop down box. There was a list of available networks and we got rid of the other ones leaving only the home wireless network.

But no option to remember PW under MACBOOK Leopard 10.5.2 using WEP.

Perhaps it is missing or is located somewhere else...
