When I first got my MBP, I was a bit upset that I couldn't hook up my printer to the Airport Extreme and use it wirelessly... I had it working plugged directly into the MBP but, I figured since the firmware update and Airport update, I'd give it a try again...
What I did was: Unplug the Airport Extreme Plug in USB cable from ML-1710 to the Airport Extreme USB port Plugged in Airport Extreme power cord Opened Airport Utility Selected "Manual Setup" Selected the "Printers" Tab The ML-1710 was already listed in the box Checked the box for "Share printers over Ethernet WAN port" Hit the "Update" button and waited for the Airport to restart that was all it took, she works great now... no issues, nor have I had any internet connection issues since the update(s) |
