hello, up at the top right of the screen on my imac 20, next to clock and speaker icon, there is a icon for airport? could someone tell me what that is for, and should i have it on or off? not sure what to do with it? i just have this apple up and running, and im using verizon dsl.

How are you hooked to your Verizon DSL? Are you hardwired or using Wireless? Airport is like WiFi Wireless on a PC. If you have the DSL Modem plugged into the iMac, then you do not need to have Airport turned on.
