Lightroom switch from PC to Mac, HELP!

I just bought a MacBook Pro to replace my aging Dell. I have all my old files from Lightroom on my external hard drive. I want to import them, but I honestly don't know how to do it.

Biggest problem here, I don't want to have to import all 100+ folders back in to the new version of Lightroom (some call it laziness, I call it effeciency), and I definitely don't want to lose all my adjustments and edits of my Raw files.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

I don't use the cataloging function of LR as much as I should, but would it not be a simple matter of repointing to the external HD?

Open the catalog files if you have them on the HD.

Other wise I think you have to create new cataolgs and leave the files on the drive.
