I've just ordered My Macboook Pro and want to install CS3 on it but this copy is an Upgrade and so is my CS2, CS1, they are all upgrades from Photoshop 7 which are all on My G4.
Do i need to install Photoshop 7 then All the other CS's to Get CS3 on my MBP? I don't have the MBP yet to try it. |

No. It'll just ask you to insert your CS2 CD to verify upgrade eligibility. Pretty easy process

It seems that if this is the case then the upgrade system is decidedly flawed. On a slightly related note, as i can't justify the £500+ price tag for CS3, is Elements a good budget imaging editing program? |

back when I was a PC guy I had a CS2 upgrade and installed it directly to my computer. It didn't even ask about my owning any previous version (which I didn't) and it installed just fine. I'd expect CS3 to do the same, but I got a free full version of design premium so I don't know for sure.
