terminal window on desktop?

Hello...
I'm pretty sure i've seen a way to attach a terminal window to the desktop without it having a title bar and all. I've searched around a bit and I cannot find a program that will do this. Can anyone help me out?

What would be the point of having the terminal window on the desktop? Do you run OS X?

of course I run osx

basically i'm running a terminal based irc client that i kinda just want to sit/blend in with my background. So I have transparency all the way up, but I'm looking for a way to remove the title bar.

Any suggestions?
