Other than Gif Fun and PS is there another program to create animated gifs? I tried gif fun and it distored the pictures.

I always use imageready, comes with photoshop.

Er, right. I don't use photoshop. I use Imageready.

Maybe if we knew what you were trying to produce, we could help more. It's sort of down to personal preference which one you use - they all work more or less in the same way.

You can actually make animated GIFs using flash, but the optimisation isn't normally anywhere near as good as Imageready.

More info = better suggestions, although I don't know of anything better than Imageready which I think you're saying you don't want to use.
