Best RAW software

What's the best RAW processing software that i could get for Macbook Pro? I'm trying to decide between Apple Aperture and Adobe Lightroom, i just can't figure out what i want to get. It's going to have 2 GB RAM, 2.33 GHz, and 256 MBs graphics. I read that someone had these specs, and they had Aperture, and they said that they couldn't run any other programs in the background along with it, which i would need to have. So does anyone have any opinions?

Well Actually The best would be neither, I have found that Phase One's Capture One LE, or Pro pretty much blow them out of the water....

Photo Shop CS2 and CS3 are the only things I've ever used. CS3 has some big flexibility options in it.
