Well I couldn't find a thread for April so here I go...

It isn't really a creation it was a pretty tedious homework for my Photoshop class. I worked on it yesterday and a bit on it this morning and I'm pretty proud of the results.

You PS guys must have seen this old photo already: you have to repair, colour correct it, etc. It made the rounds a few years ago, I think? Anyway I feel I've already seen the image...

So here it is, the original and the resulting image. :girl:

Now... On to a Quark assignment!

Very good reconstruction, MHC!
That sort of thing takes patience and a really good eye for detail. Luckily, you have both! :black:

Thanks so much DB. :girl:

I kinda like projects like those be cause you have to review the tools you learned and have to find their best usage. I copy pasted a lot of the background wall, burned or dodged the pieces to match what was left. Etc.

I made this just for fun using Blender 2.43 It is a tire for a classic car I'm working on. The render took about 5 minutes, but it took about 5 hours to complete, nothing compared to others I've done.

I love the texture of the background. You have good colors going.
When I was viewing your "Fabric" through another link, I had seen this, and without even knowing that you made it, I was very impressed. I just thought that it was a professional commercial.

If it is intended to be a tire, the rubber part does not look convincing. Other than that, it is superb.
